More than a dozen different organizations have come together to show how the many diverse capabilities and methods that make up Consumer Directed Exchange can enable consumers to be better informed, more engaged and healthier!

Federal Health Architecture: 
HIMSS 2017 Learning Series

FHALogo The Federal Health Architecture (FHA) is hosting the fourth HIMSS17 Learning Series and is highlighting some of the Government Interoperability Showcase demonstrations featured at HIMSS17. Today’s session will cover two different demonstrations:

·       Complexity is the Enemy of Interoperability: Practical Experience in Leveraging FHIR to Quickly Advance Health Data Exchange, VA and DoD

·       National Association for Trusted Exchange’s Blue Button Directory, NATE

On June 9, 2017, ONC will host a Direct Exchange Workshop, which will focus on the adoption and use of the Direct specification to improve health IT interoperability. The one-day, in-person event will highlight a variety of efforts and resources from across the stakeholder community that uses Direct, including NATE, DirectTrust, federal agencies, and more. Attendees will focus on optimizing patient and provider experiences using Direct, emerging testing tools for developers, a variety of industry updates, and highlighting innovative uses of Direct. The location for the event will be the Partnership for Public Service Conference Center, in Washington D.C.Agenda and additional details are forthcoming, but registration is available now at

IG will help ensure the quality and integrity of information essential to safe, high quality, cost effective care for individuals and improve the health of populations. Information governance programs are increasing in adoption and maturity. The IG annual survey is intended to capture current state and an understanding of projects that organizations are undertaking.
