Want to Accelerate Interoperability?
Support Consumer Directed Exchange!

The most expeditious way to speed up interoperability is to put the patient in charge of determining when and with whom their data is shared. NATE recently demonstrated the ease and robustness of consumer directed exchange by facilitating a Consumer Directed Exchange Exhibit Hall at Health Datapalooza!

This exciting new exhibition space facilitated by NATE showcased multiple consumer controlled exchange solutions that are ready for adoption today or emerging for tomorrow. More than a dozen different organizations came together to show how the many diverse capabilities and methods that make up Consumer Directed Exchange can enable consumers to be better informed, more engaged and healthier!

Dr. Rucker Learns About TrustHarbor

At Health Datapalooza, NATE and its partners shared the message of consumer directed exchange with thought leaders and hundreds of people ready to challenge the status quo, including the new National Coordinator for Health IT, Dr. Donald Rucker. NATE has received only positive feedback about this unique demonstration opportunity and looks forward to doing it again.

NATE is very interested in bringing the Consumer Directed Exchange Exhibit Hall concept to other industry gatherings over the rest of 2017! Please let us know if you would be interested in hosting a Consumer Directed Exchange Exhibit Hall or participating with us in future events. Like Health Datapalooza, sponsors would be entitled to an exclusive networking space within the Exhibit Hall and publicity in NATE’s extensive marketing materials.

“Health Datapalooza provided a first hand view of many promising solutions that are advancing today’s consumer controlled health data exchange.”

– Steve Bergman, Chief Innovation Officer, 360ofme

“The event created an important new context for advancing consumer directed exchange in the U.S.”

– Judah Thornewill, CEO, GroupPlus LLC and Facilitator, CARIN Alliance

“Medyear was honored to exhibit and participate alongside other industry leaders from government, academia, and industry at this year’s Datapalooza. We demonstrated our new mobile app that connects patients to over 700K doctors for real-time messaging and data exchange and were blown away by the positive response.”

– Panha Chheng, CEO, Medyear

Connecting Michigan for Health
June 7-9, 2017 at the Lansing Convention Center

Conference agenda features discussions on trending topics from national and regional perspectives

Connecting Michigan for Health is an annual three-day conference on healthcare transformation. The theme of this year’s conference is “Connecting Healthcare. Relieving Burdens. Improving Health.” A preview agenda and registration links for the event are available at

Connecting Michigan for Health is dedicated to advancing the electronic sharing of health information to support healthcare delivery and payment transformations. For nine years, the conference has attracted healthcare and health information technology leaders and decision makers from across Michigan and the nation. Each session at the conference covers important topics that show not only how far we have come in the exchange of healthcare information, but also where we will be next year… and maybe next decade.

You will hear about the latest advances in Michigan and other states, use of electronic quality measures and analytics, harnessing the “internet of things” for consumer engagement, payment reform, telemedicine, advances in consumer consent and privacy, and many other current topics of interest in healthcare transformation.

NATE has participated in Connecting Michigan for Health several times and found it very valuable. This year, NATE’s CTO, Dr. Rim Cothren, will lead a conference session on 21st Century Cures and the Creation of a National Health Provider Directory. We encourage you to attend.
